On the Duplicity of Seyfert Galaxy NGC 1275 Nucleus

Seyfert galaxy NGC 1275 has many peculiarities having direct or indirect relation to the activity of its nucleus. This galaxy contains two giant gaseous systems differing in radial velocities by about 3000 km/s. V. Pronik has shown that low-velocity gas system has two kinematical centers located in the nucleus of the galaxy (1979). They differ in radial velocities by 140±20 km/s. The distance between the centers is equal to 1″–2″. The line connecting kinematical centers is directed from North to South. The survey of the published data for NGC 1275 galaxy evidences that it is not clear yet how its nucleus is connected with the circumnuclear region (L. Metik, I. Pronik, 1984).
