An Evolutionary Link between Seyfert I and II Galaxies ?

First spectra of NGC4151 and 3C390.3 from the newly sited Isaac Newton Telescope on the island of La Palma, when compared with old spectra of the same objects taken with the INT at Herstmonceux leads to the conclusion that these two Seyfert galaxies have faded over the years and are adopting Seyfert II-like properties.
