The intervertebral disc block is useful in the diagnosis of herniated discs and discopathy, in particular lateral herniated discs. Injecting a drug solution relieves the pain attributable to the intervertebral disc by relieving localized inflammation, decreasing internal pressure on the intervertebral disc, and facilitating degeneration of the intervertebral disc. Devices include X-ray fluoroscopy-guided method, IVRCT-guided method, and MRI-guided method, but this report provides a procedure under X-ray fluoroscopy-guided method.
