Abstract

We shall call statistical metric a set S such that with each two elements (“points”) p and q of S a probability function II is associated satisfying the following conditions:
  1. 1

    II(0; p,p)=1.

  2. 2

    If p ≠ q,then II(0; p,q)<1.

  3. 3

    II(x;p,q)=II(x;q,p).

  4. 4

    T[II(x;p,q),II(y;q,r)] ≤II(x+y;p,r).
