Coordination of Rays Near a Simple Polygon. Constraint Decomposition

Abstract

We solve the decision problem for the following instance of motion coordination: two rays translate in the plane while their endpoints avoid the interior of a simple polygon and while they do not intersect each other. We introduce a technique called constraint decomposition.
