The Fallacy of Modern Hybrid Control Theory for the Simultaneous Control of Force and Motion

Abstract

In this paper, the elements of statics and kinematics of a rigid body are developed based upon the established work of classical geometers of the last century such as Plücker, Klein, Cayley, and Ball. This development is presented using modern nomenclature, and it reveals that purely geometrical operations must be independent of a choice of origin and independent of a choice of units for measuring length.
