Abstract

This chapter explains the difference between an idea and an innovation and how innovation is promoted. Leaders create boundary conditions and prepare the ground for innovations.

We present approaches to identify user needs and find new approaches to solutions.

Decisions have to be made continuously, even in uncertain situations. Often sceptics have to be convinced. Courage to break new ground is necessary.
