Double-Row Subscapularis Repair: The US Perspective
Fixation of full-thickness subscapularis tears requires secure fixation for adequate healing. Because of this, a double-row construct is utilized by the senior author for all full-thickness subscapularis tears. This technique typically requires an additional anterosuperolateral portal for tendon mobilization, coracoplasty, as well as suture management. A double-row knotless repair is described; however there is no evidence of superiority for knotless over traditional knot-tying techniques.
