Logic Machines as Technical Artifacts

Languages and machines represent the two ends of the computational spectrum: the abstract and the physical. They come together at the digital interface, the very lowest level in the computational realm. Digital circuits are employed to store, communicate, and manipulate data. Flip-ops, counters, converters, and memory circuits are common examples.
