Abstract
In this chapter the experimental results on adsorption of bromide ion on Pt(110) surface is described.

Bromide adsorption/desorption in 10−1 M HClO4 + 10−2 M KBr solution occurs at 0.08 V (RHE). The very strongly adsorbed Br layer survives emersion and transfer into Br-free electrolyte and forms a (6 × 2)p2gg-8Br structure [1, 2, 3].
