Zusammenfassung

Die Feststellung, daß enzymatisch-hydrolytische Vorgänge an Proteinen und Peptiden mit der Freisetzung äquivalenter Mengen von Amino- (bzw. Imino-) und Carboxylgruppen (entsprechend Formulierung 1) einhergehen, rechtfertigt die Kennzeichnung aller proteolytischen Enzyme als Peptidasen (Peptihydrolasen).
