Rats exposed to carbon disulphide at a level of 400 ppm for 8 hours show no changes in the bromsulfthalein clearance or serum concentrations of GPT, GOT and LDH [1], Histologic investigation reveals glycogen diminution. Experiments were carried out to test possible disturbances of the energy producing processes of the liver following CS2 exposure of rats (Wistar strain, female, 220 g average weight, water and Altromin pellets ad libitum).
