The purpose of any cost/benefit analysis is to balance the cost against the benefits associated with an activity. The fesability projects, like other economic projects, should be measured by its ability to provide sufficient benefits to justify its cost. The objective of cost/benefit analysis, method developed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, is to use objective economic criteria in all our judgements to select efieciently fesability studies.
