Contrast improvement in X-ray projection microscopy

Shortly after we had closed our investigations on the reflection focusing aid (1) we started using the microscope for biological applications. A voltage of some 6 kV was applied on the thin sections of soft tissue. Contrast, obtained in this way however, was disappointing.
