Some design features of a new Philips Electron Microscope

Abstract

A study of the means of control of the various factors governing the general performance, the attainable resolution, as well as the ease of obtaining quantitive and qualitative results, at the Philips Physical-Technical X-ray Laboratory and the Philips Research Laboratories, has lead to the development of a new electron microscope, entering the production stage just now (Fig. 1).
