Zusammenfassung

Das Denguefieber, eine Viruskrankheit, wird durch Stechmücken (Aëdes) übertragen. Es tritt meist in epidemischer Form in den Tropen und Subtropen auf und stellt eine kurzfristige, gutartig verlaufende Erkrankung, mit Fieber, Schmerzen, Exanthem und Leukopenie dar. Das Denguefieber wird auch break-bone fever, dandy-fever, denguero, Fünf- oder Siebentagefieber genannt.
