NMR Line Shape in Solids

Abstract

The crystallochemical point of view on the NMR line shape in solids with rigid lattice is presented.For different crystals it was shown that Abragam’s function G(t)=exp(-a2t2/2)sine(bt) [1] is good approximation to real FID.The parameters a and b can be interpreted in terms of volume V0 of the cluster surrounding the nucleus under discussion, and volume V1 equal to single unit volume divided by number of magnetic nuclei in single unit.
