A Determination of the Dynamical Parameters in Amino Acids from Carboxylic- 17O NMR Linewidths Measurements

Oxygen-17 nuclear magnetic resonance (0 NMR) studies of glycine, alanine, proline, leucine, histidine, and phenylalanine have been carried out in aqueous solutions. The molecular dynamics of these amino acids have been investigated by measuring the 0 linewidths as a function of temperature at a cationic, zwitterionic, and anionic states (pH-2, 6, 12.5, respectively).
