The Relative Intensities of Level Crossing Transitions in the Rotational Tunnel Spectrum of NH4 in Partially Deuterated Ammonium Persulphate

A detailed study of the rotational tunnel spectra of NH4 in partially deuterated ammonium persulphate has been made using level crossing field cycling nmr at low temperatures. Large variations are observed and discussed in terms of the symmetry of rotational states. A number of unexpected peaks appeared with increasing temperature suggesting collective rotational excitations.
