Diffusion in Superionic β - Ag3SI Studied by Chemical Shift Relaxation.

Abstract

The diffusion of Ag ions in a single crystal of β - Ag 3 SI is investigated by measuring the temperature and orientation dependence of the 109 Ag chemical shift relaxation. Using a simple diffusion model, diffusion parameters such as activation energies, vacancy concentrations, attempt frequency and the anisotropy of the chemical shift interaction tensor are determined.
