Magic Angle Sample Spinning NMR Studies of a Diluted Magnetic Semiconductor Alloy: Cd1-xMnxTe
NMR measurments of 125Te and 113Cd in Cd1-xMnxTe have been performed for several samples with different Mn concentrations (x). Static as well as Magic Angle Sample Spinning techniques have been employed. The MASS NMR spectra show well resolved lines whose relative intensities and width change with x. The results also show that the Transfer Hyperfine interaction between Mn ions and the NMR nuclei is causing a paramagnetic shift in the NMR lines. The interpretation of the NMR spectra and conclusions about bonding properties of CdMnTe are presented.
