Radio Frequency Driven Electron Spin Echo Envelope Modulation

Abstract

The first observation of an electron spin echo envelope modulation (ESEEM) in solution by a pulsed EPR scheme is described. The nuclear modulation effect is generated by a strong radio frequency (rf) field tuned to one of the nuclear transition frequencies. The basic theory and different applications of rf-driven ESEEM will be presented.
