Magnetic Properties Investigated by EPR and Static Susceptibility in the Superconducting System Y1-xGdxBa2Cu3O7-δ

Abstract

EPR measurements and static susceptibility were performed in the Y1-xGdxBa2Cu3O7-δsystem.We evidenced the presence of Cu2+ resonances in nonsuperconducting phase superimposed over the characteristic Gd3+ line at room temperature (RT).The dependence of the linewidth ΔH(x) and the Curie paramagnetic temperature θ(x) indicates the presence of the dipolar and possible exchange interactions.
