Microwave Absorption near Tc in a Superconducting Al-Oxide Triangular Sierpinski Carpet

Abstract

Microwave absorption has been observed near T c , in a sixth order aluminum oxide (Al-O) triangular Sierpinski carpet (SC) and the results compared to an identically prepared Al-O film. Periodic structure is observed, compatible to the fractal nature of the sample. Temperature dependence suggests the creation of vortex- antivortex pairs.
