Infrarot-Spektroskopie diffus reflektierender Proben

Zusammenfassung

Bei der Interpretation von Transmissionsmessungen nimmt man generell an, daß in der Probe der Strahlungsfluß nur durch Absorption geschwächt wurde. Dies ist die Voraussetzung für die Anwendung des Gesetzes von Bouguer, Lambert und Beer. Bei einer streuenden, also optisch inhomogenen Probe, wird ein Teil des Strahlungsflusses aus dem Detektionsstrahlengang gelenkt, was bei Transmissionsmessungen Absorption vortäuscht. Solche Strahlung kann — möglicherweise nach vielfacher Richtungsänderung — die Probe auf der Vorderseite verlassen und als reflektierte Strahlung detektiert werden. Da dieser Strahlungsfluß nicht mehr gebündelt, sondern prinzipiell über alle Richtungen des Halbraums über der Probe verteilt ist, spricht man von diffuser Reflexion.
