Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Orbit in Oncology
The orbit represents a specialized region in which the potential of MRI has not been fully realized. Initial studies were marred by the lack of appropriate surface coils and image degradation resulting from globe motion. Later examinations have benefited from technological advances which have significantly improved image quality. Increasingly, MRI has became an important adjunct in the imaging of orbital tumours.
