Theoretical Considerations and Practical Use of Contrast Agents Other than Iodine in CT

In CT, as in conventional radiography, contrast media may be positive or negative to neutral, intracerebral or spinal vascular tissues, the attenuation values of which range from about 22–46 Hounsfield (H).
