Gutartige Geschwülste des Magens

Zusammenfassung

Gutartige Geschwülste des Magens scheinen nicht selten zu sein (s. Abschnitt „Häufigkeit“), bereiten jedoch meist keine Beschwerden und werden daher nicht oder nur anläßlich systematischer Suche (z. B. bei eigens geplanten Untersuchungen von Obduktionsfällen) entdeckt. Die Literatur zum Thema ist reich, doch überwogen unter mehr als 1000 für dieses Handbuch gesichteten Quellen die kasuistischen Mitteilungen. Diese sind sehr stark durch Selektion verzerrt (Interessantheitsauslese). Die Ansichten über die Zuordnung pathologischer Erscheinungen zu den gutartigen Geschwülsten wechseln. So schließen manche Autoren die tumorartigen oder besser tumorähnlichen Erkrankungen mit ein: Xanthomatose, eosinophile Granulome, aberrierende Pankreasinseln, Bezoar oder Sarkoidose des Magens. Manchmal werden polypenförmige Hyperplasien hinzugezählt. Auch hat sich die Klassifikation dank neuer Befunde gewandelt. So beschrieb Stout das Leiomyoblastom des Magens, das zuvor für ein Neurinom gehalten wurde, gab aber auch an, daß er nie ein Neurinom (Schwannom) gesehen habe. Es ist deshalb nicht einfach, ein klares Urteil zu Einzelfragen zu gewinnen und zu begründen.
