Summary

Three kinds of refinements made for the vortex method are presented: a fast vortex method based on VIC in solving any complex irregular flow fields,a new deterministic scheme in treating viscous diffusion process, and a hybrid domain decomposition method.Their applications in 2-D incompressible high angle-of-attack flow simulations are illustrated.
