Abstract
Man is the unity of “Three Lives” which are the biological life, the spiritual life and the social life. The harmonious development of “Three Lives” is the premise and basis for individual development. The special function of sports plays an important role in the harmonious development of “Three Lives”. New ideas for the development of school sports are expressed as follows: school sports is oriented toward the harmonious development of “Three Lives” ; the methods and contents of sports are planned and designed according to the need of different aspects of “Three Lives” and the features of sports function.
