Abstract

This chapter provides the enthalpy of formation of Nd-Ni (neodymium-nickel) system.

Thermodynamics

Using high-temperature direct synthesis calorimetry at 1477 ± 2 K Guo et al. [95Guo] and Guo et al. [98Guo] have determined the enthalpy of formation of NdNi5 and of NdNi. The values of ΔHS are given in Table 1.
