Abstract

This chapter provides the enthalpy of mixing of Sm-Sn (samarium-tin) system.

Thermodynamics

With using direct reaction calorimetry Berrada et al. [97Ber] have determined integral enthalpies of mixing of liquid alloys at 1203 K at concentrations up to 32 atom-% Sm in respect to liquid undercooled Sm and liquid Sn. The results are given in Fig. 1.
