Abstract

This chapter provides the enthalpy of formation of Si-Y (silicon-yttrium) system.

Thermodynamics

Standard enthalpies of formation of intermediate phases have been determined by Meschel et al. [98Mes] on the basis of results from high-temperature calorimetry at 1473 ± 2 K. The results obtained are given in Table 1.
