Enthalpy of formation of Pt-Y (platinum-yttrium) system

Abstract

This chapter provides the enthalpy of formation of Pt-Y (platinum-yttrium) system.

Thermodynamics

Using high-temperature direct synthesis calorimetry, Selhaoui et al. [93Sel] have determined enthalpies of reaction of intermediate phases at 1473 ± 2 K. The results have been taken to calculate standard enthalpies of formation. The values obtained are shown in Table 1.
