Claudication refers to impairment in walking, pain, discomfort, numbness, or tiredness in the legs that occurs during walking or standing and is relieved by rest. Claudication is a manifestation of either peripheral arterial disease or spinal stenosis. The aim of this chapter is to recognize claudication, differentiate between vascular or neurogenic claudication, and the management of claudication.
