Cervical Radicular Pain is commonly caused by compressive irritation of the cervical nerve roots as they exit the spine. Radiculopathy and myelopathy may be coexistent in patient with radicular pain originating from cervical spondylosis, and a detailed physical exam must be performed prior to diagnosis and consideration of therapeutic interventions. Imaging study findings may support a diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy but should not be used alone for diagnosis or targeting treatment.
