Abstract

Doru Frantescu and Andrei Goldis offer a compelling analysis that identifies the most likely coalition partners in the European Union that British-based interest groups can work with after the exit of the UK. The chapter shows that once Britain will lose its representatives in the EU institutions, British stakeholders, both public and private, will have to find new strategies and channels of influencing European policy, as the decisions made in Brussels will continue to have a substantial impact on British interests. Frantescu and Goldis conclude with a case study on how Brexit will impact on the direction of the policies adopted by the European Union.
