I bring the window of my father’s vocation as a physicist in three allegorical comparisons of a nuclear reactor to vocational practice, and suggest ways in which containment, critical mass, and control rods find place in our work. I illustrate this allegory by viewing the landscape of our former president’s management of a recent protest at a political rally through this window.
