Exploration: Playful Urban Learning Space—An Indisciplinary Collaboration

Abstract

This exploration is based on an unusual collaboration between a business school and a fine art practitioner, supported by a Creative Entrepreneur in Residence funding scheme. Both the school and the artist had strong interests in play, and the funding scheme made it possible for the artist to investigate the intersection between the two domains and then design and implement an installation. The authors examine the interweaving of two contrasting perspectives on play in higher education.
