Where Do We Go, to Go Where We Have to Go?

This booklet is built around the crisis of economic theory and the need for a different approach to economics. What do they imply and what results can we expect? Will our lives change? Will the theorists of axiomatic economics be put in the attic, alongside the geocentric universe of Purāna in the sacred texts of Hinduism, and Ptolemy? Will the Great Recession produce the same effect that inspired the papal astronomer Eustachio Manfredi, who, in the Bologna Observatory, in 1729, gave the first empirical demonstration of the motion of the Earth’s orbit around the Sun? We need a new paradigm for economics (and the economy as well).
