Abstract

Pre-operative counseling in line with ‘Montgomery’ is crucial. The indication for surgery should be clear. Port insertion should be in line with recommended techniques. Ports larger than 5mm should be closed. Women who do not recover from a laparoscopy in the expected way should be managed with a high index of suspicion. As always, complete documentation is vital.
