Abstract

The cervical region is an important area in facial aesthetic. The accumulation of fat in the preplatysmal region significantly changes the facial contour with deletion of the cervicomental angle. Submental liposuction can be done with local anesthesia and provides good results in selected patients and with quick recovery. The operative technique, indications, and postoperative complications will be discussed.
