Variable Coefficients

  • Raza Tahir-KheliEmail author

Both single and simultaneous linear ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients were discussed in detail in Chap.  3. Here, that analysis is extended to linear ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients. Differential equations with non-constant coefficients are in general much harder to solve. For simplicity, therefore, only first-order and first-degree equations of type (A) are handled.
