Identifiability Aspects

Chapter
Part of the Communications and Control Engineering book series (CCE)

Abstract

This chapter treats identifiability for EIV problems related to dynamic systems. Similarly to the case of static systems, identifiability is not generally achieved, unless more than very general assumptions are applied. Examples where introduction of additional assumptions lead to identifiability are provided. Specific identifiability results are described for the case of parametric modeling. There are also identifiability results for the special cases with either multiple experiments, or closed-loop operations.
