The Rational Care of Burns
This chapter is designed for the surgeon who finds themselves caring for burns in extreme circumstances. Topics discussed include initial diagnosis, early and late resuscitation, the basics of excision and grafting, and common problems faced by surgeons providing care for burn patients with limited resources including materials, space, mandate, and time.
