Abstract
Facial paralysis is a common ailment of varying severity that may result from many different etiologies. Proper diagnosis can be lifesaving, while interventions in the acute and chronic phases can improve clinical outcomes dramatically. This chapter will review important principles of diagnosis as well as medical and surgical treatment protocols.
