Abstract
The intra-articular X-ray and US-guided acromio-clavicular and gleno-humeral injection procedures are reviewed. The technical principles of the injections used for diagnostic or therapeutic grounds are reviewed. Indications, anatomy, proper techniques and approach, choice of equipment, quantity of pharmaceuticals and appropriate aftercare as well as possible procedure-related symptoms and their treatment are discussed.
