Abstract
A game consists of a set of players along with their strategies and a payoff function. In addition, a set of rules must specify how the game is played. In game theory we deal with games as mathematical objects, which are often summarised in some simple, abstract form. There are three main game forms: normal, extensive, and characteristic function form. There are many variations of these, including the partition function form, which is discussed later.
