Leiomyoma of the Nipple

  • Efstratios VakirlisEmail author

Leiomyoma of the nipple is a rare, benign tumor that arises from smooth muscle fibers in the subareolar tissue of the breast. It is a potential cause of persistent pain, tenderness, and swelling of the nipple-areola complex. Surgical excision is usually curative, although recurrences may occur.
