Minimally Invasive Procedures for Rare Rectal Conditions: Complex Rectourethral Fistulas and Retrorectal Tumors

Rectourethral fistulas and retrorectal tumors are two relatively uncommon conditions, and may present a surgical challenge. The aim of this chapter is to identify a surgical strategy based on information gained from precise diagnostic process. Moreover, we want to show that minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery is a feasible technique, and can offer possible advantages of shortening recovery and decrease complication rate.
